Mission Trip 2022 Highlights

Accompanied this year by 8 Spanish students from Sound Christian Academy, with their instructor Lisa Messler, we enjoyed a very busy schedule that was filled with ministry and fun, work and relationships. Each student had a Coatzingo "amigo" to pair up with. Besides visiting the irrigation canal, our itinerary included putting on a Women's Brunch, a Men's BBQ, and a VBS for kids that ended with a huge water party. Our service project our team cleared debris to create the space needed for a new outdoor kitchen for a elderly disabled couple. (A new goat pen was also built for the wily goats they had.)  Our team distributed food for the needy and the ill. Fun times were had with our amigos, with card games, basketball downtown and soccer in our local park, dancing together at the weekly evening dance, splashing at the swimming hole, and a raucous birthday party. Worship music in the evening, laundry every day, a huge finale "slip and slide" for kids. What a wonderful trip.
